Vitamin K2

Vitamins

Also known as: Menaquinone, MK-7, MK-4

Vitamin K2 activates proteins that direct calcium into bones and teeth, and away from soft tissues like arteries. It is critical for bone and cardiovascular health, and is commonly under-consumed in Western diets.

Best Timing

Take with a fat-containing meal, ideally alongside Vitamin D3.

Absorption

Fat-soluble. MK-7 has superior bioavailability and longer half-life compared to MK-4.

Vitamin D3Synergy

D3 increases calcium absorption; K2 ensures it goes to bones, not arteries. Essential pairing.

CalciumSynergy

K2 activates osteocalcin, which binds calcium into the bone matrix.

Vitamin ASynergy

Vitamins A, D, and K2 work together as a synergistic triad for bone and immune health.
